When North Carolina mom-to-be Jamie Forbes found out she was pregnant, the first person she wanted to tell was her fiance, Charlie.

Instead, she kept the happy news a secret so that she could give him the ultimate surprise on their wedding day earlier this month, according to WCNC.

The two met on Match.com and had a “whirlwind” romance, she said. They knew that they wanted to have kids, but she didn’t expect the news so soon:

“Because I’m in my 30s, we’re both in our 30s we thought maybe it would take a year.”

So when Jamie found out she was pregnant, she framed a sonogram photo and brought it to their wedding reception to present to Charlie during a heartwarming speech.

She told her husband:

“From the moment you left work to come push my stranded car, I knew you were the one I wanted in my corner forever. Please accept this gift — it is the most precious thing I will give you, and I hope it makes you as happy as you’ve made me. … I’m two months pregnant.”

Charlie called the reveal the “best gift.” He told WCNC:

“It was the shock of a lifetime, but a good shock.”

The news didn’t just surprise Charlie but all of the couple’s friends and family attending the wedding reception. Jamie said it was all worth the wait in the end:

“It was so hard, probably the hardest thing I’ve ever done. I just thought it would be so special and unique, and now we have it on video.”

The couple has confirmed that they are having a baby girl through blood testing. She is due in July, and they already have a very special name picked out — Jillian.

It’s the name of Jamie’s little sister, whom she lost to cancer two years ago.

Jamie said that she can’t wait to raise her baby with Charlie:

“He made my dream come true.”
