After revealing that she is a resident at a sober living home in New York and dealing with the rumors that her husband of more than 20 years had cheated on her, daytime talk show host Wendy Williams has filed for divorce.
According to People, the host of “The Wendy Williams Show” wed Kevin Hunter on November 30, 1997.

The pair share a son together, 18-year-old Kevin Hunter Jr.
A spokesperson for her show told E! News:
“Wendy and her family have been a part of Debmar-Mercury for over 10 years. We respect their privacy regarding personal matters. As always, we remain committed to bringing an entertaining and topical show to our viewers.”
As Dearly previously reported, after taking a nearly two-month hiatus from the show last month, Williams came back to explain why she took some time off:
“Well for sometime now, and even today and beyond, I have been living in a Sober House. When you see me come to work glammed up, right after the show, I across the street, I do my pilates. I told you, two hours a day, I like to take care of my body.
And you know I’ve had a struggle with cocaine in my past and I never went to a place to get the treatment. I don’t know how, accept God was sitting on my shoulder and I just stopped.”
Williams continued that the only person who knew about her arrangement was her husband, Kevin, and her 24-hour sober coach:
“I am driven by my 24-hour sober coach back to a home that I live in the tri-state with a bunch of smelly boys who have become my family.”
The talk show host has also been dealing with Grave’s disease, an autoimmune disease that affects the thyroid, which she was diagnosed with in 2017.
As People reports, while Williams has since shot down the most recent rumors of her husband’s infidelity, Hunter has been unfaithful before.
She said on her show last month:
“I’m still very much in love with my husband and anyone who’s been married … you know.
Marriages have ebbs and flows, marriage isn’t easy. And don’t ask me about mine until you see this gone. And it ain’t going anywhere, not in this lifetime.”
Neither Williams or Hunter have personally commented on their impending divorce.
Williams was not wearing her usually engagement ring during the Aprill 11 episode of her show.
