So on this day 18 years ago this little man came into our lives…. To say we felt blessed is an understatement … From day one he never slept through the night the only way he would fall asleep is when I took him out in the car and it had to be BoyZone on the radio and he would drop right off…. Thank fully he now sleeps the whole night without needing a song … Brooklyn has gone from this beautiful baby boy to become this handsome , polite and driven young man .. I'm proud that he lived through my career with me and I'm even prouder about the person that he has become … Happy birthday Bust you can now officially take dad for a drink down the pub X ❤ @brooklynbeckham @victoriabeckham

His caption reads, in part:

The father and son seem inseparable, as David continually chronicles their relationship on his Instagram:

And now, Brooklyn is headed to college.

According to People, David and Brooklyn were spotted in New York City on Wednesday as the father dropped his son off at school, where the 18-year-old will study art and photography.

Amid the drop off, the proud dad posted this pic:

While mom, Victoria, wasn’t present at the drop off, she did congratulate Brooklyn on his new adventure before he headed out:

With a hashtag of “#yesiamcrying,” it’s clear Mama Beckham, like most moms, is having a hard time letting go.

No matter where life leads Brooklyn, it’s clear he’ll always be daddy’s little boy.

And for Brooklyn, the feeling is mutual, as David and Victoria remain the “most amazing people” in his life.
