Tyler Baltierra Says He’s ‘Blessed’ to Have Family Following Temporary Separation From Wife

“Teen Mom OG” stars Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra have been open about their recent marriage struggles.

Last month, the couple confirmed that Baltierra asked to separate for 30 days during Catelynn’s pregnancy to spend some time apart, Dearly reported.

The expectant mom, who is pregnant with their third child, said at the time:

“He decided he wanted to try living separately for a month. I was devastated, at first, but now that I’ve started my own therapy, I’m more comfortable with the idea.”

Baltierra later said that the two lived in different houses during the separation, but that he still saw his wife and daughter regularly. He tweeted:

I was 8 min down the road & we had dinner dates, family movie nights, went on a mini vacation & it was EXACTLY what we needed for US! …

Now it seems the much-needed break had a positive impact on their family.

On Tuesday, Baltierra posted on Instagram in honor of his daughter’s fourth birthday.

The post featured a sweet image of the family and a lengthy caption written by the dad stating that he was thankful for them.

Baltierra previously said that he knew he’d get “hate” from separating from Lowell during her pregnancy, but knew it would help them in the long-run.

And based the family’s social media posts, it seems he may have been right.

What do you think of his decision temporarily separate from the expectant mom? Let us know in the comments.
