Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta’s (LHHATL) Tommie Lee could be spending the rest of her life in prison following her recent indictment on several child abuse charges.
As TMZ reports, the VH1 reality star was arrested on charges of felony aggravated assault, battery, and child cruelty in October following an incident at her daughter’s middle school in Cobb County, Georgia.
On October 16, the 34-year-old mother of two allegedly interrupted her daughter’s class cursed at her and slapped her hands with a purse strap.
However, her rage didn’t end there.
Lee allegedly grabbed the child by her hair, dragged her down the hallway, smacked her in the face, and threw her into a metal locker.
Following the arrest for the assault, Lee was in handcuffs again less than 24 hours later for violating a court order to stay away from the child.

As People reports, Lee, legally known as Atasha Chizaah Jefferson, faces seven charges of indictment.
Along with the aggravated assault, child cruelty, and child battery charges, Lee also faces aggravated stalking and disrupting a public school charges. Three of the charges are felonies and four are misdemeanors. The star could face up to 54 years in prison if found guilty of all charges.
However, this is not her first run-in with the law.
People reports that upon joining the LHHATL cast in 2016, Lee had already been arrested nearly 30 times
In a 2016 interview with HipHollywood, Lee said:
“See by nature … I’m a violent person … You know, so if somebody touch me it’s on …”
Her most recent charges — aside from the child abuse incident — include disorderly conduct, drunk driving, and battery.
During an interview with VH1, Lee said:
“Half the time I’ve been on probation without going to prison. Half the time I was put on probation but I was still a badass. I still would violate probation,” she said. “I wouldn’t do community service, so [I] guess that you get booked again and [then] you got a whole new mugshot.”
Fans reacted to the news on social media sharing their thoughts on the line between discipline and abuse.
One Instagram user wrote:
She getting 54 years for disciplining kids and you wonder why kids soft these days!
While another shared a different opinion:
My mom gave me whoppings but in no way shape or form did she cross the line into street fighting. There’s no way she grabbed me by my hair and dragged me anywhere! Or slammed me up against stuff! That’s extreme and Tommie has anger issues that she projects onto her daughter. If she does that in public at school in front of people, what has she done to her daughter at home with no one around? Y’all crazy too for defending this
While she’s popularly known for her alcoholism and wild confrontations, she has shared some of her proud mommy moments in the past.
Lee and her camp have not yet commented on the charges.
However, Complex reports that the star will no longer be returning to LHHATL.
