Every week, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady calls in to talk with the Boston-based radio station, WEEI. Now Brady is considering canceling those weekly interviews after a WEEI employee called his five-year-old daughter a name on-air.
Last week, Brady premiered his new Facebook show called “Tom Vs Time.” Unsurprisingly, the documentary show has become wildly popular among Patriots fans and became the topic of discussion for the hosts of WEEI’s “Two Guys and a Mouse,” Off the Monster Sports reports.
Tom Brady/InstagramWhile giving their own opinion of the show, host Alex Reimer said he thought the first episode was “fine,” adding that he thought the opening scene was staged:
Reimer: “It was fine.”
Host 2: “Jesus.”
Reimer: *laughing* “It was okay.”
Host 2: “Just fine? Come on.”
Reimer: “Alright, I thought the first scene was so staged, where Brady is like in the kitchen and his kid is being an annoying little pissant…”
Brady wasn’t fine with Reimer calling his five-year-old daughter, Vivian, “an insignificant or contemptible person,” thus causing him to cut his interview with WEEI’s “Kirk & Callahan” show short.
The radio station deleted the comment from its website, but the snippet has since been uploaded to Vocaroo.
As you can see in the clip above from “Tom Vs. Time,” Vivian was acting no different than any other five-year-old vying for their father’s attention and telling him about her plans that day.
Tom Brady on @AlexReimer1‘s comments: “It was very disappointing to hear that, my daughter or any child certainly does not deserve that.” Tom then concluded the interview.

Brady said he was evaluating whether he should do the show again:
“I’ve tried to come on this show for many years and showed you guys a lot of respect. I’ve always tried to come on and do a good job for you guys. It’s very disappointing when you hear that, certainly. My daughter, or any child, they certainly don’t deserve that. I really don’t have much to say about it this morning.”
As ProFootballTalk’s Darin Gantt wrote, children of athletes, if not all children, should be off-limits, adding that Brady acted reasonably to Reimer’s words.
Tom Brady/InstagramAccording to WEEI, the host will face an “indefinite suspension” for his actions. Reimer has yet to comment on the matter.
