Former professional football player, and currently Minor League outfielder, Tim Tebow, is officially off the market.
On January 10, Tebow revealed that he had asked his longtime girlfriend, model and former Miss Universe Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters, to marry him.
And she said, “Yes.”
Tebow wrote on Instagram:
Thank you for saying YES and making me the happiest man in the world. You’re the love of my life, and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you.
In 2017, in an interview with People, Tebow described the qualities his dream girl “needs” to possess in order to make her “the one.”
“Of course I want a woman who I’m attracted to. That’s a very big part of it. But I’m looking for someone who loves Jesus and loves people. Someone who makes me want to be a better person for her. And she has to want kids, and has to want to adopt. That’s a requirement.”
The athlete and sports announcer added that he has a dream of adopting a child from every continent.
“I want to adopt so badly. I can’t wait. It’s definitely something I see in my future.
You know what I think would be awesome? If I could adopt a kid from every continent. I think that would be a pretty cool goal. I want to sit around the dinner table ever night and see kids from Africa, Asia, Europe, South America, right here in the States. How cool would that be? It’s one of my favorite things to dream about.”
It appears Tebow has found that one.
Nel-Peters also took to Instagram to announce their engagement after commenting “Fiancé” with a bunch of emojis on Tebow’s.
The 23-year-old wrote:
Any dreams I’ve ever had, you’ve exceeded them all! I love you and I can’t wait to spend forever with you!
Hundreds of their fans and friends offered their congratulations to the happy couple.
