A 3-month-old baby girl is fighting for her life after suffering child maltreatment at the hands of her parents, say police.

According to WVLT, Addilyn was neglected and abused to the “brink of death” when her father Michael Fisher, 30, and Brooklyn Tidwell, age 27, brought her to Southern Tennessee Regional Medical Center in Nashville.

Police discovered child abuse when the little girl was treated for multiple broken bones and internal organ and brain damage. She’s currently in critical condition after being put in a medically-induced coma to stop the bleeding on her brain, reports WZTV.

The little girl, who was born prematurely weighed about four pounds at birth, currently weighs eight pounds. Her family said she’s already suffered so much in her short little life and they’re working to find her a safe and loving home.

Addilyn GoFundMe

A GoFundMe has been set up to help Addilyn’s great aunt Terra Woodard care for the child. Someone close to the family wrote on the page:

This baby girl deserves a loving family and a family that’s going to show her unconditional love every single day for the rest of her life and we all know she will get that from here on out.

Woodard is taking steps to gain emergency custody of the infant.

Family members claim the couple has two other children together who are in state custody. Fisher was charged with physical abuse and Tidwell with neglect. According to the affidavit, she allegedly didn’t seek medical attention for the 3-month-old.

Their hearing is set for February 7.

The baby’s uncle Matt Tidwell says that the power of prayer must be working on Addilyn’s behalf because her seizures have stopped ever since the community rallied behind the family to pray for the child’s recovery.

Dear Anonymous, first of how illiterate are you? THESE PEOPLE DO DESERVE JAIL! And for a VERY long time! They should also be forced to be sterilized! Three kids abused and neglected?! So the aunt wants to take custody of the baby….what about the other 2 children already in state/foster care??? These babies should be raised together in a home where they are ALL together and in a home where these two MONSTERS can never find them! I have a friend who would do anything to be able to have a baby and can’t, and then there is trash like these two who could care less about their children!
I pray this beautiful little soul makes a full recovery and I equally pray that these two UPOS get years of Prison time! Praying for a miracle!??????

Kathy, I think anonymous meant that they should be out to death, at least that how I perceived it.

Kathy, I agree with you 100%. They should be sterilized. Every person who does such harm to children should never have children. They certainly deserve jail.

There are times children do need discipline. A few swats on the bottom does it if necessary. When a child is out of hand disrespectful mean. They need to know there are consequences to their actions. Today the way these poor littles ones are harmed at the hands of those who are supposed to love them sickens me. These abusers are criminals part of their sentences should be sterilization.

These people need to be sterilized and kept in jail until they turn gray.

You took the words right out of my mouth! There is no place in society for people who commit heinous crimes against children. This child will have lasting effects from the injuries for the rest of its life.

Everyone keeps saying jail and sterilization but if this baby were an older child or an adult the charges would be much more severe. Maybe we should be looking to change laws so this type of abuse can be called what it is -attempted murder- instead of neglect and physical abuse. Then maybe we could get some real punishment for people who would do this to anyone but especially those who are twisted enough to go after someone who had no chance of running, defending or protecting themselves. Do we really need these people, who continue to have babies, hurt them probably to the point that they will never be able to take care of themselves, won’t take care of them but will teach them to be abusive and cruel to those weaker than them, do we need people like this in our world? These are obviously serial abusers so jail and sterilization maybe what we have to do now but we should get serious about protection for infants and children who really suffer this and not get distracted by the ridiculous stuff that gets attention like so called “harsh punishments” of physical activity. We need to recognize and be honest about what abuse is and is not.

Permanently take away all parental rights for all 3 children for both parents and then both have to submit to be permanently sterilized since they obviously can’t deal with the children they have. Give each at least 25 years in jail.
