A little over two years after welcoming their first child together, “Sister Wives” star Maddie Brown Brush and her husband Caleb welcomed a second kid into their family.
As Dearly previously reported, Maddie and Caleb announced they were expecting a second child in January. And in April, they announced that their second-born would be a little sister for their son, 2-year-old Axel James.
Now the proud parents are excited to announce that their daughter, Evangalynn Kodi Brush, was born on August 20.
She wrote on Instagram:
Miss Evangalynn Kodi Brush born right on time and just right on 8/20.
And after a slew of inquiries came in wondering how to pronounce their baby girl’s name, the mom of two spelled it out phonetically.
It’s pronounced “E-van-jah-lynn,” but they will be using the nickname “Evie” when referring to her on a daily basis. The mom also said she’s feeling “good” nine days postpartum, adding that her whole family is “wonderful” since welcoming their newest edition.
Maddie and Caleb told People that Evangalynn was born weighing 8 pounds, 12 ounces and measured 21 inches long.
After announcing their little girl’s birth on Instagram, one commenter asked, “She is gorgeous! So happy for you and your family!!! Wonder what big bro thinks of her!!!?” To which Maddie replied:
“He loves her. Absolutely obsessed.”
As the mom previously told People she was nervous wondering how Axel would respond to having a sibling:
“I think he’ll be a little jealous at first. Our world revolves around him right now and that’s changing just a touch.”
Also, in the comments, one of her followers mention how the photo Maddie shared of her daughter made it seem like Evangalynn “just skipped the newborn look and went to responding to you.”
Maddie admitted that “she did” and that she’s “a little sad about it.” She added that she thinks Evangalynn looks a lot like her daddy.
The mom also wrote that their daughter’s name doesn’t just honor her father, Kodi Brown, but a few members of her family. One commenter mentioned:
“I love the name and [when she’s older she] could use Kodi if she wanted, it’s a super neat girl name too. What a way to honor your Dad too…”
“Someone said that! I like it! Her whole name is a tribute to different family members! Lol thank you so much!!
Congratulations to happy and growing Brush family.
