British singer Charlotte Church started her classical music career when she was just a kid. She later made a name for herself in the music industry during the mid-2000s with pop hits like “Crazy Chick” and “Call My Name.”

But her life took a shift when she gave birth at age 21 to her eldest child, Ruby.

She had a second child with rugby player ex-boyfriend Gavin Henson just a year later, according to People.

The mother of two now splits her time between raising her family and rehearsing with her music collective, Late Night Pop Dungeon, which performs at music festivals.

And just last month, the songstress made a massive announcement.

According to the International Business Times, the 31-year-old thrilled fans at her May 28 concert when she revealed that she was pregnant with her third child.

Her boyfriend, musician Jonathan Powell, was the lucky father.

Church told the Guardian that she felt “brilliant” about the pregnancy and anticipated her due date in November 2017. The singer said it was difficult to compare it to her other pregnancies:

“It’s great, it’s lovely. […] It feels very different this time around.”

The happy couple quickly started prepping for their newborn. According to the Daily Mail, they placed an advertisement searching for a top-notch nanny — but then mysteriously took it down.

Then the singer shared some devastating news with fans on Monday.

According to People, the pop singer announced that she had suffered a miscarriage. This message was released on Twitter by a spokesperson:

Charlotte and Jonny are very sad to announce that they lost their baby. Now is a time for grieving and being together as a family. We kindly ask everyone to respect that peace.

The family has since been flooded with words of support from friends and fans on social media.

Some Twitter users wrote:

Church and Powell have been together for the past seven years.
