The big day is finally here: pop superstar Beyoncé Knowles has revealed her adorable twin babies to the world.
It’s a moment fans have been waiting for ever since the “Crazy in Love” singer surprised everyone in February with a pregnancy announcement on Instagram.
The songstress posted a photo wearing a veil and showing off her growing baby bump, along with the caption:
“We would like to share our love and happiness. We have been blessed two times over. We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes. – The Carters”
The twins, named Sir Carter and Rumi, were born last month — but not everything went as planned.
According to earlier reports, the twins were born premature and had to be treated “under the lights.” That likely means the newborns were placed under bilirubin lights in the hospital, which is a common form of treatment for jaundice.
Thankfully, the pop star’s twins now appear to be doing just fine.
Beyoncé shared the first public photo on her Instagram early Friday morning. And it’s a major throwback to her surprise pregnancy announcement.
Much like in the original photo, the songstress is surrounded by flowers and flowing fabric. Only this time, she has two adorable bundles of joy:
The pop star is now mother to three young children. She also has a 5-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy, with husband Jay-Z.
Congratulations to the Knowles-Carter family!
