It seems like just yesterday the world was celebrating the birth of Prince William and Kate Middleton’s second child.
Now Princess Charlotte is off to her first day of school.
Like her older brother Prince George, who we watched head off to his first day of school in 2017, Charlotte will be attending the same prestige preparatory school known as Thomas’s London Day School in Battersea.
However, unlike George’s first day, news cameras got a glimpse of the whole family, making the first day of school drop-off. In 2017, it was just Prince William who took George to his first day of school because Middleton, who was pregnant with their youngest, Prince Louis, at the time, was dealing with extreme morning sickness.
Nonetheless, this year, mom and dad were wearing big smiles on their faces this morning as they dropped off two of their kids.
They wrote on their official Instagram page:
Princess Charlotte arrives for her first day of school at Thomas’s Battersea, joining her older brother Prince George.
Both Princess Charlotte and Prince George looked adorable in their matching uniforms. Charlotte wore a pleated skirt, while George wore his usual shorts and ankle socks.
Also like Prince George, while at school with her peers, neither the teachers or the other children will use their titles when addressing them during the day. The young royals will simply be known as George and Charlotte Cambridge.
In the video also shared on their Instagram page, Charlotte seemed slightly nervous to meet her teacher and get the day started, much like George was for his first day of school in 2017.
As the footage showed, Charlotte quickly began playing with her ponytail as she shook her teacher’s hand. However, Prince William can be heard saying his little girl is “very excited” for her first day.
How sweet is this?
