As it turns out, Princess Charlotte doesn’t only look like a young Queen Elizabeth, but she apparently rules like one, too.
Back in March, Kate Middleton revealed that her youngest child and only daughter was the one in charge, even with older brother Prince George around.Kensington Palace/Instagram
As People reported:
Kate spent some time with the wife of a Royal Marine commando, swapping notes about their young daughters. “She said that Charlotte is growing up really fast. She is the one in charge,” Samantha Burge, wife of Warrant Officer Class 2 Chris Burge, told reporters. “We have both got two-year-olds and they are ruling the roost. It was a bit of a mummy chat.”
It looks as though not much has changed since then.
While presenting the annual Bible to a local student who does the “best” religious studies project, Queen Elizabeth joked with the mother of winner Emily Clay.
According to the Daily Mail, parents Ellen and Tom along with Emily’s younger sister, Hadleigh, all met with the Queen during the presentation.
When the Queen asked Emily if she was looking after Hadleigh, Ellen chimed in by saying it was often more Hadleigh looking after Emily. Queen Elizabeth then responded by saying, “It was like that with Princess Charlotte and Prince George.”Kensington Palace/Instagram
Tom told the Daily Mail:
“The Queen was implying that Charlotte keeps an eye out for George rather than the other way around. It is often the case that a younger child is more confident. It is second child syndrome.”
Nonetheless, the Duchess doesn’t seem too worried about Charlotte’s bossy behavior. She additionally told Burge back in March that she and George are becoming “very good friends.”
It will be interesting to see how Charlotte reacts to the new sibling she’ll be gaining later this year.
