On August 4, the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, turned 38 years old.
This marks Markle’s first birthday as a mom to her and Prince Harry’s only child, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. And it’s also her second birthday as a member of the Royal family, many of whom took to social media to share their well-wishes.
During the early morning hours of Marke’s big day, both Clarence House and Kensington Palace took to Instagram to wish Markle a “happy birthday.”
Clarence House, the page dedicated to keeping up with Markle’s father-in-law, Prince Charles, wrote:
A very Happy Birthday to HRH The Duchess of Sussex.
And Kensington Palace, the official account of Prince William and Kate Middleton, followed suit soon after.
Thousands of people called William and Kate “class acts” for publicly wishing Markle a happy birthday in spite of rumors going around that the two families aren’t getting along.
However, perhaps the most personal message from the day was the one from Prince Harry himself.
On the couples’ Instagram page, alongside a never-before-seen photo of the Duchess, Harry shared a personal quote in honor of his wife’s birthday.
The caption read:
Wishing HRH The Duchess of Sussex a very Happy Birthday
‘Happy Birthday to my amazing wife. Thank you for joining me on this adventure!’ – Love, H
Nearly 20,000 people commented on the photo, many of whom gushed over Harry’s sweet words:
I bet you Harry picked this picture himself! Love the simplicity and honesty of his message.
What’s not to [love] about the Harry, Meghan and Baby Archie.
