A royal wedding is on the way.
Prince Harry has popped the question to “Suits” actress Meghan Markle, and she said yes.
As the Independent reports, the official announcement has been made after months of rumors swirling around the couple, beginning after they made their first public appearance together in September at the Invictus Games.

A statement issued by Clarence House said:
His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales is delighted to announce the engagement of Prince Harry to Ms Meghan Markle. His Royal Highness and Ms Markle became engaged in London earlier this month. Prince Harry has informed Her Majesty The Queen and other close members of his family. Prince Harry has also sought and received the blessing of Ms Markle’s parents.
According to the Independent, Kensington Palace issued a statement on behalf of the bride-to-be’s parents, Thomas Markle and Doria Ragland, celebrating their daughter’s upcoming vows:
We are incredibly happy for Meghan and Harry. Our daughter has always been a kind and loving person. To see her union with Harry, who shares the same qualities, is a source of great joy for us as parents. We wish them a lifetime of happiness and are very excited for their future together.
The 33-year-old prince began dating Markle 16 months ago after being introduced by friends in London.
The is the first marriage for the prince, while Markle will be saying “I do” for the second time. She ended her two-year marriage to Trevor Engelson after the pair married in 2011.

According to The Guardian, Los Angeles resident Jessica Parsons is excited an American snagged the royal bachelor:
“It’s exciting that he’s engaged to an American, I think that’s every American girl’s dream. Now there’s hope for us Americans, for American girls.”
The wedding is set to take place in the spring of 2018, and the couple will live at Nottingham Cottage at Kensington Palace in London.
