Kimberly Henderson was a single mother of three when she learned she was pregnant again. The father of her unborn child was cheating on her and she couldn’t bear to stand what people would think about her having a fourth child.
Sick kiddos but they are all gathered around the radio so we can listen to my song Tiny Hearts!! They are my littlest biggest favorite fans!!!???
Kimberly thought that being all alone, abortion was her only option.
She spent seven hours in the abortion clinic waiting room, trying to convince herself she was OK with what was about to happen.
“I could hardly make out anyone or anything through the tears… I kept my face down, my face was drenched in tears.”
Kimberly knew she was making a horrible mistake, and God agreed. According to a post written on her Facebook, God was giving her signs throughout the day not to do it.
"Two years ago today I was sitting in an abortion clinic thinking not having Vaida was best for me.People remember…
She woke up to a sick daughter and was forced to find a sitter, on her way to the clinic she got lost and broke down for about 15 minutes. She was late for her appointment, but they were able to squeeze her in.
When her name was called, she was fumbling through her wallet to find her ID when a prayer card fell out onto the reception counter. It read:
“‘Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand,’ Isaiah 41:10.”
“I knew God was speaking to me.”
At that moment Kimberly knew she wasn’t alone, she had her friends and God on her side. She told the receptionist she changed her mind and headed for the door.
Always with that pony tail holder around my wrist… Lol even during a photo shoot.. no changin me ?#hairtienation #Goody MVIII Photography
When she heard a voice behind her ask if she was going to go through with an abortion, Kimberly turned back around.
She said… “I wish I could be brave like you…” I told her she was brave and she could do the same thing. She said she had to do it because of some serious circumstances… As I turned around she said… “When you see your baby’s face for the first time you’re gonna be so glad you walked out of here today.”
The other girl sitting in the waiting room that day was right.
Day 1. I am so thankful that my girls..9 and 10..still love Barbie dolls and baby dolls and that my son still loves…
Vaida Everly was born on September 12, 2013. Not only did Vaida give Kimberly the gift of being a mom of four, but she was also the reason her mom landed a record deal.
A little over a year after Vaida was born, she was restless and refused to go to sleep. Kimberly decided scoop her youngest up in her arms and sing her a lullaby.
Couldn't get my oldest girls to take a picture ? lol but vaida says happy new year!!
She posted the special mother-daughter moment on YouTube, where it went viral.
Kimberly says she knows Vaida was “meant to be here” and is “so lucky” to have her.
