On August 8, country songstress Carrie Underwood announced that she’s expecting her second child with husband Mike Fischer.
As Dearly previously reported, the couple already has a son, 3-year-old Isaiah Michael, and struggled to conceive a second child.
Underwood went through three miscarriages before this pregnancy and is looking forward to welcoming her new bundle of joy.
However, little Isaiah isn’t quite sure how to handle the news that he’s going to be a big brother, said the mom.
Underwood told People that her son doesn’t want to share mom once his new sibling arrives. The 35-year-old songstress said:
“[Isaiah] told me recently that when the new baby comes that Daddy could have that baby and then he could be mine. His world is about to get rocked.”
She thinks it’s because of the incredibly close bond that she shares with Isaiah Michael. Underwood said:
“He loves me. He looks at me and talks to me and interacts with me like nobody else on this planet,” she adds. “He’ll stare at me and I’m like, ‘What are you looking at?’ And he’s like, ‘I just love you.’ What kid does that?”
Underwood said that she hopes her second child has a similar personality to her son:
“He’s just the sweetest. He’s just my guy. He cuddles and kisses on me. So I’m hoping this next one has some of that personality.”
The country crooner has yet to confirm whether she’s expecting a boy or a girl or when the baby is going to arrive.
However, some predict that she’s due in early 2019, according to Country Living.
Underwood welcomed her first child in February 2015.
