Shortly after what police say was a staged kidnapping, the body of 8-month-old missing King Jay Davila was found near his neighborhood.

On Friday, his mother, Jasmine Gonzales, reacted to her son’s disappearance before authorities confirmed his death. In an emotional phone interview, she told KABB reporters:

“I’m frustrated. I’m angry. I’m upset. I just want my son back home. I can’t do this no more.”

She hadn’t seen baby King since New Years night when he was asleep in his crib. Gonzales continued:

“My son is missing. Somebody knows something. My son is not home yet. Nobody is opening up. Everybody is bashing me on freaking on the internet … It’s terrible cause I’m a mother of my son.”

According to police, the boy’s father confessed to burying him in a wooded area not far from their home and last night authorities found King’s Jay body in a backpack, reports KSAT.

Bexar County Sheriff’s Office

As previously reported by Dearly, Christopher Davila, 34, was a prime suspect in the investigation after video evidence proved he filed a false police report.

According to the affidavit released Friday, the father reportedly admitted to tampering with evidence but claims the child’s death was accidental.

Christopher told investigators King Jay fell out of a car seat placed on top of the bed and seriously injured himself while his dad was playing video games, reports News 4SA. The 34-year-old said a large lump began to form over the baby’s eye but he was afraid to call 911.

A few hours later the baby died.

Police would eventually arrest Christopher, King Jay’s grandmother, Beatrice Sampayo, and Christopher’s cousin, Angie Torres, for staging the carjacking to cover up the child’s death. All three were charged with tampering with evidence.

Reportedly, a witness overheard the father telling his mother about his son’s falling and injury. Charges could be updated depending on the outcome of the autopsy report.

If the baby fell and it was an accident, why go thru all this elaborate car jacking bs to try to hide an accident.

If it were truly an accident there would be no need for the elaborate cover up attempt

I really don’t understand why people do some of the things they do. This innocent baby could have had an amazing life and brought joy to soo many people. Praise God he is with Him now and doesn’t have to endure any more pain. I know God will see to making sure little King Jay will get the justice he deserves. God bless the family members and friends with peace and comfort through this difficult time.
