Fans Tell Pink’s Husband He’s Doing Great After He Jokingly Calls Video of Daughter With Knife a ‘Parent Fail’

Carey Hart, Pink’s Husband, poked a little fun at dad-shamers by posting a video of their daughter Willow, 7, popping balloons with his pocket knife.

He captioned the post:

Parent fail 287, letting your daughter pop balloons w/ Papa’s pocket knife 😂😂

In the video, Willow can be seen holding the knife upside down with two hands and popping a number of pink balloons with it.

Hart can be heard telling his daughter:

“Go for it. Do as many as you want….Be careful with it.”

By posting the video, the 43-year-old seems to be taking a stand against critics who have shamed him in the past for some of his other posts featuring his children.

However, under this particular post, he received quite a bit of support.

One user wrote:

Not a parent fail!!! Just a parent who has taught their children about weapon safety letting their beautiful little girl play and be a kid. Well done, sir!!

Another viewer commented:

Thank you for raising kids that are not in a bubble and can actually grow up to be well rounded people. Now a days everyone is too sensitive and don’t talk about anything let alone let their kids experience anything with adult supervision. As long as their is adult supervision that is all that matters.

However, this isn’t Hart’s first time pushing back against social media critics.

As Dearly previously reported, the former professional motocross rider was dad-shamed in December for giving his son Jameson, 2, a ride on his dirt bike.

Hart told the “parent police” not to worry because he’s a professional, but the shaming continued.

Despite the backlash he received, Hart posted a video of his son riding his own motorized bike on February 18.

And at the end of January, Hart directly called out critics in an Instagram post revealing a video showing his daughter shooting a rifle, Dearly reported.

He wrote:

Haven’t poked the parent police bear in a few days. Willz and I shooting the 22 rifle. She is getting pretty good. Can hit a 12 inch pie plate from 30 yards. Started her shooting at 3yrs old. For the record non of us hunt, just enjoy shooting for sport. I’m raising the kids with knowledge of fire arms, how to handle them, shoot them, store them, and avoid them in uneducated hands. #knowledgeispower

In the end, however, the doting dad of two doesn’t seem to really care what critics have to say. The dad has made it clear that he and Pink will raise their children the way they see fit.

  • We all had pocket knives growing up in rural Pennsylvania. We also learned to respect them and knew they weren’t for goofing around with. Always educate and protect your little ones and they will do just fine.
