In addition to Pink’s busy career as a singer, the 39-year-old is a parent to two children with her husband, Carey Hart.

The couple is often open on social media about the challenges of raising their kids, 7-year-old Willow and 2-year-old Jameson.

As Dearly previously reported, Pink has no issue shutting down mom-shamers who question their easy-going parenting style.

But raising kids isn’t always easy. And now that Pink has young children of her own, it seems that she’s relating more to her own parents.

Over the weekend, the songstress shared a throwback photo of her own father making a face that she said any parent can recognize.

The singer wrote, in part:

This picture of my Dad makes me laugh so hard. Never before have I seen “parenthood of young children” captured so perfectly.

Pink said that her father is holding her brother in the photo and that he wasn’t exactly well-behaved:

That’s my brother sleeping sideways. He was a handful. I was perfect. ??? love you Daddy Sir ??? #woodpaneling

Now that the mom has a little boy of her own around that age, there’s no doubt she could relate to her dad’s tired expression.

In December, Pink responded to parent-shamers on social media after her husband, who was a professional motocross rider, received criticism for letting their young son ride a dirt bike.

She told one critic:

Are you a perfect parent? S**t, are you even a parent? A psychologist? A teacher? These are bold statements from a social media spectator. I won’t even unfollow you. It’s not worth the trouble. You sound like a person that could learn something by looking at all of this.

The mom said she knows that she isn’t walking a “perfect path” and that she’s okay with that.

Only time will tell if Pink’s own children will look up to their rockstar mom just like she now looks up to her own father.

Why I am glad I am NOT famous-really, those who shame parents (or anyone re: “body” issues) need to take a good look in the mirror-APPLAUSE! – to Pink for the clap-back.

We are excited to announce Dearly has joined forces with Mama’s Uncut. Helping Mom’s across the United States answer questions on life’s big challenges.
