After Pink and Husband Flee Wildfires Near Malibu Home, He Posts Photo Threatening Looters

When the Woolsey fire broke out in California last week, Pink and her motocross star husband, Carey Hart, were forced to flee their Malibu home.

The fire started in Southern California and affected a number of areas including Calabasas, Agoura Hills, and Malibu, USA Today reports.

Thankfully, the songstress and her family are safe. But now, Hart has landed in hot water after posting a warning to looters who may be taking advantage of the natural disaster.

On Tuesday, the father of two posted a photo of a group of men wearing masks and holding guns. They had a sign that read, “Looters will be shot on site!”

Hart captioned the image:

It’s unfortunate that some people take advantage of others in a crisis. While the malibu fires have been burning, some locals have been fighting off and defending their property against the fires. There have been sightings of looters breaking in to homes. Well, if you are a looter, think twice if you are heading back into malibu. #DefendYourLand #2ndamendment

He later clarified that he is not in the photo and that the men are “a group of locals” that he used to live by.

Many fans were upset at Hart for posting the photo. One Instagram user commented:

Unfortunately, there is a lot wrong with this picture and it really goes against what you speak to in your insta posts. Pretty much sums up what’s wrong with America. Looters or not.

Hart responded to the fan:

When there is a situation like this with no laws, it’s time to protect yourself.

Many other commenters said that looters should not be met with violence even if they are taking advantage and breaking the law.

What do you think of Hart’s Instagram post? Let us know in the comments.
