Earlier this year, former Oklahoma State Sen. Ralph Shortey was caught engaging in inappropriate behavior with a 17-year-old boy by police. According to The Kansas City Star, the boy’s father was worried about his safety and tipped off police.

It was then that officers smelled marijuana coming from a room in the motel Shortey, a married father of four, was reportedly staying in.

Police then knocked on the door and what transpired was all caught on camera.

After the incident — during which police found weed, a bottle of lotion, and an open box of condoms — the FBI then began investigating Shortey.

According to the Star, Shortey was then indicted on four counts of produced child pornography and child sex trafficking. He’s since pleaded guilty to felony child sex trafficking and faces between 10 years and life in prison.
