A new report suggests Owen Wilson has allegedly “refused to meet” his newborn daughter Lyla Wilson, according to Us Weekly.
A source told Us the 49-year-old is a devoted father to son Robert, 7, with ex-girlfriend Jade Duell, and son Finn, 4, with Caroline Lindqvist, but allegedly, he’s determined not to do the same with his third child.
“The Wedding Crashers” actor casually dated Lyla’s mother Varunie Vongsvirates for five years before welcoming the newborn in October.
According to a document obtained by Us, Wilson undertook a paternity test that revealed:
The alleged father is not excluded as the biological father of the fetus.
The source told the publication:
“[Owens] refuses to meet his daughter.
He even checked the no visitation box in court in June … He does not want to visit [and does not] want any custody of her.”
The source noted:
“The baby looks just like Owen. She has fair skin, blonde hair and blue eyes.”
A representative for Wilson did not respond to a request for comment.
A rep said to Us Weekly:
“This is a private matter and it’s not appropriate to comment further.”
During an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” in 2017 Wilson revealed his parenting style. When it comes to raising his two boys, he made it clear that he’s an “old-fashioned” hands-on dad.
The proud father talked about teaching his sons good manners. He also discussed putting his children first:
“No man is gonna be a hero at all times to their children because part of the role, part of the job description is you’re the person that says no a lot …
I certainly try to do what my dad did, which was have a great sense of kidding around and having fun together, and I hope that I do as good a job as my dad did.”
Vongsvirates has not commented on Wilson’s paternity.
