Two medical staffers at the Naval Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida, have been removed from their posts.

The two women uploaded inappropriate images to Snapchat, which were later shared on Facebook.

One photo depicts a medical staffer crudely gesturing toward a newborn, with the caption reading:

How I currently feel about these mini Satans.

Another photo shows a medical staffer propping a baby up by the arms. The image originally came from a video in which the medical staffer makes the infant “dance” to rap music, according to Action News Jax.

The hospital released a statement in response to the incident.

It read, in part:

Naval Hospital Jacksonville’s Commanding Officer sends: We are aware of a video/photo posted online. It’s outrageous, unacceptable, incredibly unprofessional, and cannot be tolerated. We have identified the staff members involved.

Social media users were quick to express their rage:

The Naval Hospital promised to remove the culprits from patient care, saying that they will “be handled by the legal system and military justice.”

The hospital’s post added that the parents of the babies involved are currently being notified.

Correction: Previously, this story inaccurately labeled the persons in question as “nurses.” As stated in the Naval Hospital Jacksonville statement above, the individuals involved are not nurses but medical staff. We regret the error.
