Some parents can’t stop laughing at a mom’s unusual method for helping her baby’s chest congestion that involves a vibrator.

It started when Melons and Cuties, a birth and education center in Texas, posted about the controversial technique on their Facebook page.

Along with a photo of the mother holding a vibrator against her child’s back, they wrote:

Our customer shares her remedy for chest congestion!! Use on baby’s back while sitting in a steamy bathroom. Brilliant!!!

The poster added that the mom isn’t the first to use this technique and that commenters caught mom-shaming would have their comments deleted.

Melons and Cuties wrote:

Note that many hospitals and respiratory therapists use these in the treatment of respiratory issues on the BACK in hospital settings. It is common practice. We are just sharing the information and do NOT sell this product. *We do not support mom-shaming and those comments will be deleted✌?

Most of the comments included puns and jokes about “good vibrations,” but some moms actually chimed in to say the technique worked for their babies too.

Melons and Cuties shared one response. It read:

This works. I tried it on my son (with a brand new vibrator before anyone calls me disgusting again) he’s had croup and a chest infection. He coughed up so much crap yesterday after spending hours in emergency the night before struggling to breathe.

And it seems the mom may actually be on to something.

According to Shepherd Center, a hospital in Georgia, vibration can be used to shake loose mucus that’s trapped in the lungs.

However, you should only try vibration and other techniques, like clapping, after consulting a doctor first.

What do you think of the mom’s technique? Let us know in the comments.

Of course it works. They make vibrating vests for CF patients to use to clear the mucous from their lungs. It is standard therapy for Cystic Fibrosis patients.

Exactly , my sister-in-law had CF and needed her chest massaged to clear her lungs of mucus.

I hope she washes that thing before she uses it on her baby.

You must have missed the part where it says it was new.

      You’re dumb

The baby came out of her vagina… what’s the difference?!

      A guy….

Duh it works like a massage treatment and once you get past the “dildo” part it’s no big deal.

  • Anonymous 8 months ago

Why do they have to use a dildo? There are other contraptions that vibrate and do the same thing, I believe they are called massagers, and you can buy them at Walmart for $10 or $20.

    • Anonymous 8 months ago

Why do you care what is being used to create the vibration? Stop making it a sexual thing.

    • Anonymous 8 months ago

I don’t think you realize that is not a “DILDO” that is something totally different. That is a vibrator.

    • Anonymous 8 months ago

you can still use those “Massagers” at walmart as “vibrators” or dildos.. for those who say ‘Why not do this” blabla same freakin thing.

    • Anonymous 8 months ago

      Because they already had one?

  • Anonymous 8 months ago

It IS a sexual thing. It’s shaped like a phallus.

    • Anonymous 8 months ago

and i’m sure the baby knows what a phallus is…..come on grow up

Who cares what shape it is?

  • The girl who originally posted is a giod friend and a sexual wellness coach, she also sells that product. I guarantee you it was not used first. And I’ve used similar items on myself and my children when we are sick. Vibration therapy works greats for a multitude of ailments outside of the bedroom! Kudos to her for thinking outside the box and not going directly to a medication!

Honey don’t need to explain yourself to anyone what would it really matter if it was used there’s product out there to clean are vibrators, all that matters is she’s helping the well-being of her child who cares what anyone thinks?

Yeah, what she said!!!! CHILD SAFETY FIRST!!!!

I can’t understand why everything that can be an asset to help keep alive, there’s so much negativity about it. So as a man speak so is he. There are many things that the Doctors don’t know that grows right in your yard that works better than prescription medication. Guess you don’t know that pork salad (greens grown along a creek) is excellent for your eyes. It comes out beginning the first of March, and goes to flowers by the end of May. It would be nice nice if more of you read the Bible, and Study it; you will find out about a lots of things. Looking at Jackson and all of the killings. Read your Bible and you will find that this is nothing new. Look at the Israelites. Praying ? that we come together in positive love ❤️ and stop ? thinking about the negative. Be Blessed!!

As a licensed massage therapist, this makes perfect sense. We use a technique called tapotment and vibration is one of the hand techniques. I use hand cupping and vibration over the lungs on the back of my clients that suffer from bad allergies with congestion. I’m 6 month pregnant and finding that this helped moms is helpful information.
