In the 4:54 a.m. time-stamped video, Mrs.Thomas can be seen crying as she talks about the current challenges she’s facing as a mom.

She said:
“This is the side of motherhood they don’t show. They don’t tell you that the baby sometimes will be up for 8 hours hollering, going to sleep for 20 minutes, waking up, don’t want nothing just want to eat and holler. And they don’t tell you that you’re going to have nights where you cry and look like this. And I’ve literally been up since 8 o’clock… I’m sleepy. I’m tired. At this point, I’m hungry. I want to run away. I want to get in my car and I want to drive far away.”
At the end of the clip, she briefly puts the camera on an infant she’s cradling in her lap.
When Thomas initially shared the post, she captioned it:
This is REAL LIFE for me right now..
excuse the stress & ugliness in my face!
I’m spent.
Nobody shows the nitty gritty, or the struggle. it’s always talked about, but now you can see the physical pain it brings…
i just want to sleep. I’d settle for 1 hour
Lord
There aren’t enough words to describe how I’m feeling…
please. Pray for us
Since Thomas posted the video, it has gained over 42,000 views and 2,600 comments on her page alone.
However, not all of those comments were supportive or kind.
In response, Thomas updated the caption of her post. She revealed that she and her husband are adopting her nephew, who was “born with substance abuse.” Further, she explained her reason for sharing such an emotional video.
She added:
This video is getting lots of traction so I’ll leave the original caption posted BUT I need to add some pertinent facts..reading these comments & you guys are so heartless, it’s funny BUT also sickening & disgusting how some of you think/act… So, first things 1st, I am married!
2. My husband is a GREAT help to me in raising our 2 children AND he was laying right next to me recording this!
3. This is NOT a cry for attention! I get plenty of that on a regular basis, no problem!
4th & MOST importantly…We are ADOPTING my nephew, I didn’t lay down, opening my legs to any ol’ body & now crying because I can’t do it!l OR it’s too hard!
My nephew was born with substance abuse & didn’t have anybody at the time…We are adopting him b/c we couldn’t bear our own flesh & blood to be raised in the system not knowing how he would turn out or be cared for…
We are NOT looking for sympathy, praise, OR even acknowledgment…this video is just me not being afraid to show the world how some nights us mother’s have moment where we need to let it all out when we feel defeated/drained…BUT we keep going!
So don’t get it twisted…I love my children…wouldn’t trade them for the world
Since the video’s posting, the mother of two continues to share parts of her motherhood journey with videos and pictures of her children. Further, she often reminds her followers that although being a mom is tough, she wouldn’t trade it for the world.
“Enfamil powder is temporarily unavailable in our stores due to an internal review…”

Your a special couple for adopting a child that is not yours. Relative or not.
Your a special couple for adopting a child with probable issues.
Don’t let anyone put you down, don’t let anyone tell you to just quit.
Every mother I ever met wanted to run away from it all at some time or another. Most won’t admit that though.
I was adopted by a loving couple who gave me and another adopted child the best lives we could have had.
They were also foster parents to about 10 children over the years and loved every one as their own.
We as mothers all know the struggles of raising children.
Some of us are not as good as we should have been but that is the card we were handed.
Keep us the good work and enjoy the good times with your children. All of them.
We are excited to announce Dearly has joined forces with Mama’s Uncut. Helping Mom’s across the United States answer questions on life’s big challenges.
