Investigators with the Cleveland Police Department arrived at a Cleveland home around 2:30 a.m. ET on Tuesday and found a man who had been stabbed six times by a pocketknife.

According to, citing police records, there was blood all over the interior of the house. The man’s girlfriend then explained what prompted her to attack him.

The unidentified woman told the police officers she was on her way to bed when she found her boyfriend naked on top of her 12-year-old daughter.

A section of the police report, published by, states the mom lashed out when she saw him:

In a fit of rage, [she] grabbed her pocket knife and attacked him.

The 31-year-old man, later identified by as Troy Parks, was stabbed five times in his chest and once in the back of his head. The pair fought over the knife. Both the mom and her daughter had cuts on their hands.

Parks was brought to the hospital. He told police his girlfriend attacked him out of jealousy. But the 12-year-old girl had a different story.

The child told police he had touched her, removed her clothing, then proceeded to remove his. While he was sexually assaulting her, he said:

“This is what it is like in the real world when you have a boyfriend.”

She also told investigators he had assaulted her before. The girl went through a medical evaluation at the hospital.

Parks has been charged with rape and gross sexual imposition. Court records show his preliminary hearing will be held on Sept. 26. The mother has not been charged.

According to the Department of Justice, an estimated 1.8 million adolescents in the U.S. have been victims of a sexual assault. The number is difficult to predict, as an unknown number of sexual assaults are not reported.
