A video shows a woman in the middle of a “candid” photo shoot against a brick wall. Her photographer? A small child, holding up a phone and standing near a stroller.

In the video, the woman recording the ordeal from afar can be heard saying, “That’s the saddest thing I’ve ever seen.”

Though it’s unclear what the woman was taking the photos for, statistics predict it may have been for social media.

According to the Pew Research Center, the number of adults who have a social media presence has significantly grown in the last few years. As of 2016, 77 percent of adult internet users have a Facebook account.

And as the Huffington Post reports, research found the growing usage has illustrated a link between social media and some negative mental effects — including narcissism, envy, loneliness and diminished social skills, to name a few.
