The mother of a “super-friendly” Tucson woman with Down Syndrome said her daughter has been missing for nearly two months and she just wants someone to bring her home safe and sound.

Sherry Galloway told News 4 Tucson that 38-year-old, Sarah, vanished on March 21 but she knows her daughter “is out there somewhere” although she hasn’t heard from her in months.

Galloway said Sarah needs help taking care of herself and she can’t operate a cell phone. However, she believes her daughter may be in a vulnerable situation because of her unusual behavior leading up to her disappearance.

As reported by People, Galloway said:

“It was really weird. She was fantasizing about someone — an acquaintance — being her husband, telling me that this guy was going to do bad things to me. We didn’t know where that was coming from or what to think.”

Galloway recalled to News 4:

“The night before she went missing, she was up all night long yelling that her, and Mister Clause and her husband were all going to go to jail. She got up in the morning… then she came out here and sat on the steps. I went in there and took a shower, and when I came out here she was gone.”

The mom said she drove down the road for about 10 minutes searching for her daughter but she never returned home.

She continued:

“The police did do their dog search and they say they lost the scent right at the end of the driveway. I do believe she was picked up that morning. I don’t know by who, and I can’t figure out why.”

Galloway said her daughter changed dramatically in the last moments before she went missing.

The mother told KGUN, she’s not sure if Sarah was mad at her but she won’t give up until she’s found.

The mom adopted her at age 12.

The Caucasian woman with brown hair and brown eyes was last seen wearing a grey sweater, red T-shirt, and black pants. She’s 4’11, weighing around 100 pounds, and was having delusions when she went missing.

Anyone with information is urged to call 9-1-1. Last week, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department called off the search for the 38-year-old.
