Sports Illustrated Cover Model Called ‘Gangly’ on Twitter Says She Lost Her Curves During Pregnancy

Model and actress Brooklyn Decker became famous for her curves after appearing on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue in 2010.

But the 31-year-old said her body has gone through some changes since welcoming her two children, 3-year-old Hank, and 1-year-old Stevie, with husband Andy Roddick.

Decker opened up about her postpartum body during a social media exchange this week, after a troll on Twitter called the mom of two “gangly,” People reports.

In a now-deleted tweet, the social media user told Decker she “looked so good” with more curves in the 2011 film, “Just Go With It.”

The model mommy quickly hit back at her critic with a sense of humor, acknowledging that she noticed the change too.

The actress wrote:

For the umpteenth time- because people love to comment on my body (or lack thereof) my children sucked the life out of my body and left behind a bag of bones. I don’t know what else to tell you. I miss my boobs too- I don’t even know what to call them now.

Another mom lamented in the comments that she’d also lost some of her breast size during pregnancy. Decker joked back that she still hasn’t bothered to buy new bras.

She wrote:

The funny thing is I haven’t had the time to buy new bras, so they are like empty shells of their former life. A daily reminder of what once was!

According to Parents, it’s common for women to end up with smaller or larger breasts after pregnancy. Breast specialist Susan Love, MD, told the outlet:

“Lots of women end up smaller, some end up bigger, and a lucky few stay the same.”

Thankfully, it seems Decker is open to talking about the sometimes less-discussed changes that can come with motherhood.

It doesn’t seem comments from Twitter trolls will rattle this mom any time soon.

  1. Not knowing her pre-pregnancy body and boobs, what she looks like now is a representative of a body of a woman with small breasts, especially wearing that kind of top (tube top) which does flatten boobs. She obviously doesn’t have the headlight problem. I would guess she was definitely not a C-cup, to begin with.

  2. @MariaRose You have no idea what you’re talking about. If you’re going to leave a comment about someone’s “before” body, you should at least do a quick google search. You’re asserting that you know nothing on the subject, which asserts your intelligence level or at least your due diligence level. For that matter, as the article says, no one should be commenting on anybody’s body anyway.

  3. She is still beautiful and I’m sure she wouldn’t trade her beautiful children for her old set of boobs if she had the chance. A lot of women would give up their tits just to be able to have children, so she is blessed.
