Michael Bublé’s family has been through a lot of highs and a lot of lows of the past few years.

In 2016, the singer’s eldest child, Noah, was diagnosed with liver cancer and started his health battle.

The boy was just three years old at the time. Thankfully, Noah was declared cancer-free a year later.

And in July 2018, the family added another member to their family — a baby girl.

Bublé and his wife, Luisana Lopilato, settled on a meaningful name. They chose Vida, which means “life” in the mom’s native tongue of Spanish.

Now, the father of three is opening up about the decision.

In an interview with People, Bublé said he was actually the one to come up with the name. He told the magazine:

“I picked it. It’s the second time I had come up with the name. I was going through the list of names, and I went ‘Oh, you know what, babe? Vida! I mean, what says it better than life, you know?’ What a miracle this kid is.”

He said that Vida is a spitting image of her mom and already has a “big personality”:

“She’s beautiful, with blue eyes and is already really expressive. I love that she looks like my wife. It’s like holding my little baby wife.”

The family has yet to share a photo of the baby girl, other than a black and white image of her tiny hand.

The busy dad, who also has a 2-year-old son named Elias, loves his baby girl — but has a word of advice to parents who may want three kids. He joked:

“Don’t do it if you haven’t done it already. Don’t have three children.”

Despite the warning, Bublé said his children are what truly make him “happiest.”
