Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been married for 14 months.

Since becoming husband and wife in May of 2018, they’ve made countless appearances, became parents for the first time, and ever since their engagement was announced, they’ve have been at the center of the rumor mill.

And while many could assume that would take its toll on any marriage, Markle seems to have admitted just that.

While attending the premiere for “The Lion King” on Sunday, July 14, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were greeted by the stars of the movie, like Beyonce, Elton John, and more.

And their conversation with singer and producer Pharrell Williams was caught on video.

When first meeting Markle and Harry, Williams shook their hands, curtsied, and praised the significants of their marriage and “what it means in this climate.” He added:

“It’s so beautiful your union. Your love is amazing. It’s wonderful. Don’t ever take that for granted, but what it means in today’s climate, I just wanted to tell you it’s so significant for so many of us. Seriously.”

Markle responded by saying, “Thank you so much. That’s so nice of you to say,” before Williams added, “I mean, It’s significant. We cheer you guys on.”

The Duchess then said:

“Oh, thank you. They don’t make it easy.”

To which Williams quipped, “Oh, I know. So you understand.”

While she never specifies who “they” are, her comment comes after a long battle with tabloids and other sensationalized articles about her and her family.

The video also shows Harry whispering something to the group and making everyone burst into laughter.

Since becoming parents to Archie, Markle has made multiple public appearances. One of the most recent ones, where she watched Prince Harry and Prince William participate in a charity polo match, the new mom brought little Archie with her.

Prince Harry has since made public pleas to the British press begging for privacy, especially when it comes to their 2-month-old son.
