Just after announcing her first pregnancy with husband Prince Harry, Meghan Markle paid a special tribute to his late mother.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are currently on a 16-day tour through four countries and arrived in Australia this week.
In her first public outing since the baby news, the Duchess sported a white, sleeveless dress and wavy hair. And it didn’t take fans long to notice Markle’s subtle nod to Princess Diana.
She added on some very important accessories — jewels from her late mother-in-law’s collection.

According to People, Markle added a pair of butterfly earrings that were worn by Princess Diana during her trip to Canada in 1986.
Markle also donned one of the late princess’ gold bracelet, which she wore to visit a retirement home in 1990.

Markle has now worn Princess Diana’s jewelry on several occasions. For her wedding reception, the Duchess stunned in the late royal’s aquamarine ring, according to Town & Country.
Her own engagement ring, which was designed by Prince Harry himself, contains a diamond from his late mother’s collection.
Kensington Palace confirmed the pregnancy on Monday, just six months after the couple tied the knot. Markle is at least 12 weeks into pregnancy, the statement read:
Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby in the Spring of 2019. Their Royal Highnesses have appreciated all of the support they have received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are delighted to be able to share this happy news with the public.
The Duke and Duchess will continue with their tour to New Zealand, Fiji, and Tonga after they are finished with the Australian leg.
The decision caused some controversy as the islands of Fiji and Tonga have mosquitos that carry the Zika virus, which can cause birth defects, Dearly previously reported.
Regardless, Markle is making the most of her royal outings by honoring one of the most special people in her husband’s life.
