Marie Osmond is thanking fans for giving her family prayers after her newborn granddaughter was sent to the children’s intensive care unit.

The singer revealed the news on May 23, shortly after her 21-year-old daughter, Brianna Blosil Schwep, welcomed the baby girl.

She wrote:

Asking for prayers for my precious granddaughter born this evening 6lbs 10 ounces. So thankful she was able to be taken to children’s ICU in one of our amazing @CMNHospitals #gratitude that she is in their care!

According to the Schwep and her husband’s baby registry, the child was born about ten days late. Osmond didn’t specify why her granddaughter was kept hospitalized.

On May 28, the songstress shared an update with fans and confirmed the baby is still in the hospital. She revealed the child’s name and posted a sweet picture with the update.

Osmond wrote:

So grateful to welcome my newest #granddaughter, Brianna & David’s first child Maude Bailey-Moon Schwep into the world. She is still in the hospital, but is doing very well! Thank you everyone for the prayers, it means so much to us! #schwepicbaby

Many fans left well-wishes for Osmond and her family and congratulated them on the beautiful baby girl.

Though the family is going through a difficult time, it seems they have plenty of support. And hopefully, baby Maude will be healthy and on the road to recovery soon.
