A 16-year-old North Carolina girl was horrified over the weekend when she realized she was being watched inside a store dressing room.

According to WSOC, it started on Saturday when teen Samantha Argo was trying on clothes at a local Plato’s Closet.

She had been changing in and out of garments for about 15 minutes before she noticed that an unidentified man had slipped a cellphone under the door to record her.

She told WSOC:

“I stepped back and see him push it kind of farther. He cleaned the camera a little bit.”

That’s when Argo decided to snap a photo of her own, according to WSOC. The teen said:

“You can actually see him looking at the reflection in his phone. Who knows how long that phone had been set up there. I noticed it towards the end of me trying things on.”

The teen described the man as Hispanic. He had a chinstrap beard and wore red pants with matching Jordan’s, according to Fox 8.

Argo alerted a store employee, who moved her dressing room after they saw the camera but did not contact police or stop the peeping tom from leaving the store.

Argo then contacted the authorities herself. She told WSOC:

“I’m a child. It’s repulsive that people out here are doing this kind of thing.”

The teen is now concerned that the man is going to post the footage of her undressing online.

But Argo hopes that her own photo can help identify the stranger, who she claimed can be seen in the phone’s reflection, reported WSOC.

She said:

“I don’t know if I’m going to sleep tonight if I’m honest with you, because who knows what that man is going to do.”

Plato’s Closet didn’t comment on the incident, according to WSOC. Watch Argo’s interview below:
