On October 31, a man identified as 29-year-old Sayfullo Habibullaevic Saipov drove a rented Home Depot truck through a group of bikers in New York City.

The attack killed eight people and injured 11 others.

Among those injured were a group of young school students, whose bus was T-boned by the truck Saipov was driving. A video captured by an initially unsuspecting bystander showed the horror that took place:

In the video, sounds of a man yelling, “Call 911, please,” can be heard in the background before the bystander turns around to see what has happened.

The bystander then pans the camera over toward the school bus and asks the driver if he had kids on the bus.

That’s when he sees the other, severely damaged side of the bus:

Around 35 seconds into the recording, police are seen rushing to the aid of the children as the bystander starts yelling that they need an ambulance. According to ABC News, two adults and two children inside the bus suffered injuries as a result. One is in critical condition.

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio responded to the terror attack by saying:

“This was an act of terror, and a particularly cowardly act of terror aimed at innocent civilians, aimed at people going about their lives who had no idea what was about to hit them.”

The entire city answered the attack by continuing on with their regularly scheduled Halloween parade.
