It seemed as though 43-year-old Pennsylvania nurse Shannon Deitrich had found her happy ending when she tied the knot to Christopher Hauptmann at a romantic Florida ceremony in 2015.
The 44-year-old bail bondsman soon moved in with Deitrich and her daughter, Kaylee Durovick, who was 17 at the time, according to Penn Live.
But their happy family wouldn’t stay together for long.

In September 2016, Hauptmann also married her daughter — his own stepdaughter — just a month after she turned 18, the Daily Mail reported in early 2017.
The mom said she had no idea the relationship was going on, but soon suspected that her husband and daughter had been romantic while they were all still living together.
Once their relationship was out in the open, Deitrich claims the pair even started sending her photographs of them having sex together.
The Daily Mail reported that the mom believes that Hauptmann “brainwashed” her teen daughter and even forced her to dye her hair blonde in order to match her mother.
But in February 2017, some of the 44-year-old’s other illegal activities landed police on his trail.Shamokin Police Department
And Deitrich learned she didn’t even know her husband’s real name, according to the Daily Mail:
Hauptmann’s real name is Christopher Buckley and he is a convicted drug dealer from New Jersey who police honed in on when he applied for a weapons’ license.
That’s when police realized that he was married to the two women at the same time and charged him with bigamy, Penn Live reports.
On Thursday, Hauptmann pleaded no contest to the five charges against him. Peter Kay, his attorney, said the plea deal was part of “closing this chapter of his life.”
Kay told the Daily Item:
“There was an opportunity to give him certainty and closure. That’s why a lot of these plea agreements happen. He’s been sitting a long time in jail.”
The judge sentenced Hauptmann to one year minus a day to two years minus a day in prison and 11 years under state supervision.
Hauptmann remains married to his former stepdaughter, who lives just a mile away from her estranged mother.
