“The Bachelor” couple Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici Lowe are expecting yet again.
As People reports, the couple is expecting their third child just 11 months after welcoming their 13-month-old son Isaiah Hendrix.
The mom revealed that she learned she was pregnant on a day when she “wasn’t feeling well.” Her husband Sean questioned if there was any chance she was pregnant before giving her antibiotics.
Catherine, 33, said:
“Every time we get pregnant, [Sean] tells me. I leave the stick in the bathroom and he comes out with the stick. So every time that we’ve found out, he’s the one who is telling me. He had Isaiah in his arms and I was like, ‘Surely this is not going to happen.’ I did not think it was going to be true.”
She was taken aback when Sean informed her of the results.
“It was a complete surprise and I stared at the wall for a good 24 hours. I was like, ‘I just had one of these!’”
Although both her and Sean were in shock, they are looking forward to creating “precious memories” with the newest member of their family.
The pregnant mom said:
“Obviously, it’s going to be overwhelming and exhausting but they get to be best friends forever. We get to have these children who are going to be so close in age and get to grow up and have all these memories. Yeah, it’ll be hard for us, but it’s just a chapter. It’s so fleeting.”
Catherine revealed that she and Sean’s oldest child, Samuel, is especially ready for the baby’s arrival.
“He’s very excited and kissing the baby good night and praying for the baby. He knows what’s happening. He wants to see the baby — he’s trying to look down my shirt to see the baby!”
For those nervous about expanding their family, “Family Education” offers several tips to ease into the transition. For example, Linda Braun of the Families First parenting programs, recommends parents do all they can to get help with their children.
Furthermore, Braun says it’s important for parents to be patient with themselves and realize that it’s okay to give their children space. Most importantly, don’t be afraid to go with the flow. Every moment of your kids’ lives doesn’t need to be planned out.
