His name is Kodi Lee and after his historic run on the hit competition show “America’s Got Talent,” it’s likely that you’ll never forget his name again.

But just in case you need a quick refresher, 22-year-old Kodi Lee received the Golden Buzzer from AGT judge, Gabrielle Union, during the first weeks of the show. As Dearly previously reported, Lee was born with autism and blindness.

And as his mom told the judges before his first performance, her son took to music at a young age and it didn’t take long for her to realize her son was destined to be a performer. She said, in part:

“We found out that he loved music really early on. He listened and his eyes just went huge. He started singing and that’s when I was just in tears because that’s when I realized he’s an entertainer. Through music and performing, he was able to withstand living in this world because when you’re autistic it’s really hard to do what everyone else does. It actually has saved his life playing music.”

And after receiving the Golden Buzzer, Lee continued to shock and wow the crowd and the judges each and every week.

Then he made everyone weep during his final performance. The 22-year-old performed “Lost Without You” by Freya Riding. Take a look below:

And when his performance was posted to “America’s Got Talent” official YouTube page, hundreds fled to the comments to sing Lee’s praises:

Whether he wins or loses, he’s made such a difference for so many people, which is a win in my eyes.

Win or loose on AGT. Hes a winner in my book because he gives people hope in life.

Then after a stunning performance of “You Are the Reason” by Calum Scoot with singer Leona Lewis,

Kodi Lee was officially named the winner of the 24th season of America’s Got Talent, earning him $1 million and a headline show in Las Vegas.

Congratulation, Kodi!
