Reality star Kim Kardashian doesn’t shy away from putting her three children in the spotlight.

The 38-year-old often shares photos of 5-year-old North, 3-year-old Saint, and 1-year-old Chicago to her Instagram account, which currently boasts more than 128 million followers.

So it comes as no surprise that her eldest child is already getting some time in the limelight.  Kardashian confirmed that her 5-year-old daughter landed her first official magazine cover this week.

The little girl is featured on the cover of WWD, a women’s beauty, and fashion magazine.

Move over millennials, a new generation is coming of age. At five years old, North West, the famous daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, has captivated the digital realm with her cross-generational appeal. Without a public Instagram or YouTube channel of her own, she’s too young to fully understand what a digital footprint is. And yet, hers is already wildly popular. We’ve watched North West grow on Instagram and “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” and magazines — here, she poses for her first solo cover. Her distinct fashion sense belies her age, and lately, so does her eye for makeup. West, whether she knows it or not, is at the forefront of a generation that is highly connected, engaged with fashion and beauty and individualistic in style. Called Alpha, signifying a new beginning, this age group is unlike any the world has ever seen. And combined with Gen Z, their slightly older counterparts, their numbers are strong. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, in 2025, people aged 17 and under will comprise 43 percent of the U.S. population. Already, they are significant consumers of beauty: According to NPD, 69 percent of Gen Zers use color cosmetics and 68 percent have a skin-care regimen. With numbers like that, Alphas and Gen Z are expected to have a sociocultural and economic impact equal to that of their parents or older siblings, the Millennials. Read more on, link in bio. Kardashian posted a photo of the cover along with a caption expressing her excitement. The mom wrote:

My most stylish and beautiful baby girl North shot her 1st cover for @wwd !!!! She loves fashion & beauty and has so much fun doing this!

North wore a sheer pink outfit for the cover but changed into a purple outfit for other photos in the shoot.

The 5-year-old threw up a peace sign as she showed off the holographic two-piece outfit for a photo.

The magazine shoot drew a big response from fans — but not all of it was positive.

Some social media users thought the child was too young to be in a beauty magazine, others weren’t happy that North had her belly exposed.

One Facebook user wrote:

Why can’t they just let her be a child for as long as possible. I feel they will regret pushing the kid into the limelight so young. History proves it rarely turns out well.

Commenters also seemed upset after alluding that the 5-year-old appeared to be wearing a “padded bra” underneath her outfit. A Facebook user noted:

Makeup and a crop top I can deal with. She’s 5, she wants to dress up and play around. However in the crop top pic, she has ‘something’ underneath. Maybe for image to make the crop top look good, and clean but on a 5 year old? Really?.

Everyone loved her and Kanye until he supported Trump. Just liked they lived Trump till HIllary was humiliated at the polls.

What do you except from Kim Kardashian? She is treating her children just like her mother pandered her to the public and made her a fame whore. Kim is doing exactly the same thing with her daughter. Wouldn’t be surprised if this poor child has her first baby by the time she is 15. Why don’t these “celebrities” let their children just be children until they are teenagers?

As a mother and grandma myself I see a sweet little girl here, but I also know that every parent needs to be careful putting their child’s picture on public display. There are predators looking at those pictures and it’s dangerous.
