Reality star Khloe Kardashian lost her father, Robert Kardashian, to cancer when she was just 19 years old.
However, the 35-year-old says that she still talks to her father every day.
On her show, “Revenge Body,” Kardashian spoke with two sisters who also lost their father to esophageal cancer, People reports.
She told the twins, who lost their father at 13:
“Oh my God. My dad had that when I was 19. It’s a rare cancer and it’s a very fast cancer.”
One of the women mentioned that a father is irreplaceable. That’s when Kardashian said that she still talks to her father regularly.
“I still talk to my dad all the time, every night. Me and my daughter, we pray to him, we talk to him, so I’m a big believer of that.”
Kardashian welcomed her daughter, True Thompson, in April 2018.
Though True will never get to meet her grandfather, the mom said she tries to stay optimistic about the situation. She said:
“I try, with every negative experience, to find what did I learn from that? What did that teach me?. You know, at least I had 19 amazing years with my dad, and I have the best memories.”
She added that moving on with life is the best route to take. Kardashian said:
“You’re allowed to be sad and you should mourn, but the more we live in our past, it just hinders from any personal growth. Because we’re not focusing on the moment right now.”
The episode of “Revenge Body” will air on Sunday, July 14.
