After months of speculation, reality star Khloe Kardashian finally confirmed last week that she’s pregnant with her first child.

The youngest Kardashian sister and her boyfriend, Tristan Thompson, will welcome the bundle of joy sometime in early 2018, according to People.

But just days after confirming the happy news, Kardashian is getting slammed for her health choices.


According to Cosmopolitan, the mom-to-be shared a video to Snapchat of herself working out with sister Kourtney Kardashian shortly after her pregnancy announcement.

While the fitness guru’s routine didn’t seem too intense, some fans were apparently quick to judge Kardashian for exercising while about six months pregnant.

But the future mom was quick to respond. On Tuesday, she tweeted a strong message for her critics:

The mom-to-be made it clear that she was exercising with the approval of her doctor, who actually recommended that she continue her fitness routine.

Kardashian also linked an article called “33 Reasons To Exercise Now” that details the health benefits of working out while pregnant.

And according to Baby Center, exercise during pregnancy can be very good for you and your little one — with a few exceptions.

Expectant moms need to make sure that they’re not burning off the precious calories their body may need in order to help the baby grow and develop.

Your body should gain some weight during pregnancy, which means you’ll need a couple hundred extra calories per day, depending on trimester, Baby Center reported.

Exercising mommies should also stick to lighter routines and avoid exercising on their backs; it’s potentially harmful to the uterus.

But as long as Kardashian is following the basic rules, it seems she’s doing no harm to her pregnancy. Watch her controversial workout video below:
