Kelly Clarkson is a busy mom.
Not only does she parent her two children with husband Brandon Blackstock and help raise her step-children, but she’s also a judge on “The Voice,” the soon-to-be host of the Billboard Music Awards, and most recently, she created a song for a new movie called, “Ugly Dolls.”
And in celebration of the soundtrack, Clarkson took her husband and four children to the premiere.
Clarkson wrote on Instagram:
So happy to have my family with me for the Ugly Dolls Movie premiere! Such a great movie with a wonderful message!
However, as the mom explained in an interview with “E! News,” one of her kids didn’t like that fact that Clarkson stole the spotlight.
While on the red carpet, photographers and fans were screaming “Kelly” in an attempt to get the singer’s attention.
As Clarkson revealed, her youngest daughter, River Rose, took offense when no one screamed her name:
“My daughter paused for a moment, the youngest, and was like, ‘why are they only screaming your name?’ I was like, ‘I’m sorry, ma’am because you’re not hustling the mommy is. Maybe they’ll start calling your name when you start working as hard as I do.’
She’s so funny. I’m scared, I’m so scared.”
River Rose was also featured in her mom’s music video for the song that appears on the “Ugly Dolls” soundtrack called, “Broken and Beautiful.”
The video flashes between Clarkson singing to spending time with River in her dressing room, playing dress up and fixing each others’ make-up.
Some of the lyrics of the song read:
I know I’m Superwoman, I know I’m strong
I know I’ve got this ’cause I’ve had it all along
I’m phenomenal and I’m enough
I don’t need you to tell me who to be.
What do you think of Clarkson’s new song?
