This year has been a bittersweet one for the royal family.

Not only were Prince William and Prince Harry forced to commemorate the 20th anniversary of their mom Princess Diana’s death, but William and Kate’s eldest, George, is also starting his first year of schooling this September.

Fortunately, 2017 is getting brighter for William and Kate, who have been married since 2011.

According to multiple sources, William and Kate are ending the year on a high note by announcing that they are expecting baby number three.

An official statement from Kensington Palace revealed that William and Kate, who are also parents to 4-year-old George and 2-year-old Charlotte, couldn’t be more excited about becoming a family of five:

Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their third child. The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news.

As People further reported, Kate is believed to be less than three months pregnant. However, like her first two pregnancies, Kate is battling a condition called Hyperemesis Gravidarum, or HG, a severe type of nausea during pregnancy.

As a result, Kate was forced to cancel an engagement she had scheduled for Monday, making it a little more difficult for William and Kate to keep their pregnancy private until she was further along.

The Kensington Palace statement continued:

As with her previous two pregnancies, The Duchess is suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidarum. Her Royal Highness will no longer carry out her planned engagement at the Hornsey Road Children’s Centre in London today. The Duchess is being cared for at Kensington Palace.

While the world has not heard directly from Wills and Kate, Harry told the press earlier today that he’s also very excited for his older brother and his sister-in-law:

Harry told reporters the news was, “fantastic, great. Very, very happy for them.” He added, “I haven’t seen her for a while but I think she’s okay.”

If Kate is around two months pregnant, that would mean royal baby number three could be making its way into the world sometime around March 2018.

Congratulations, William and Kate!
