Last month, mother of three Kate Hudson, 39, vowed to drop 25 pounds after gaining a small amount of weight from her recent pregnancy.

The actress welcomed her first baby girl, Rani Rose, on October 3 alongside boyfriend Danny Fujikawa, Dearly reported.

Hudson, who owns her own line of fitness gear, said that she wanted to lose the weight in order to be “around a long time” for her three children.

But some fans were left scratching their heads this week when the mom was revealed to be the newest ambassador of WW, formerly known as Weight Watchers.

So…here we go! The routine with our baby is getting more familiar and I’m ready to start taking a little time in the day focusing on myself. For me that means my health. Why? According to “Today,” Hudson confirmed she was working with WW on Saturday, during a Facetime call with the company’s figurehead, Oprah Winfrey.

In a video of the chat, Hudson explained that weight loss was not her only goal. But rather, she wants to live a healthy lifestyle. Hudson told Winfrey:

“This is not a community for people who just want to lose weight, although leading a healthy lifestyle lends itself to such, this is a community about supporting each other through a lifelong journey of wellness.”

But on Sunday, she shared a photo of her slim, post-baby body — and it left fans questioning if she’s right for representing the program.

Many Instagram commenters pointed out that the mother already looks like she’d shed a chunk of her baby weight. One user said:

No offense, but why do you need weight watchers? You look amazing for just having a baby!

Another wrote:

…and why do you need WW?

Regardless of public opinion, it seems Hudson is content with her reasoning behind joining the weight loss program. She told People:

“It’s hard when you have babies. Everyone comes before you, and you have to find that time to just focus in on yourself.”
