Jon Gosselin has allegedly had enough and is ready to fight for custody of his children after seeing a Halloween photo that his ex-wife, Kate Gosselin of TLC’s “Kate Plus Eight,” posted to her Instagram account.
The photo showed five of their sextuplets happily trick-or-treating on Halloween without their brother Collin, whom Kate sent away to attend a behavioral program for children with special needs.KatePlusMy8/Instagram
People were outraged Kate would exclude Collin from so many family events — and Jon is no exception.
This isn’t the first time Collin has missed big family celebrations. Most recently, the 13-year-old missed out on his own birthday celebration with his brothers and sisters.
Now, according to Hollywood Life, Jon is upset by the way Kate has been treating Collin and is finally ready to do something about it.
Hollywood Life reported that a source said, in part:
“When he saw that Kate left Collin out of Halloween, that his son was missing yet another family celebration Jon broke down and cried. He hates that she’s doing this to Collin and feels so helpless to stop her. He’s praying that the judge will side with him at their next custody hearing.”
Inquisitr reports Jon’s current custody arrangement includes a weekly dinner one night per week with the children. Per the agreement, they stay with him every other weekend. However, Jon told Yahoo Celebrity he only gets to see four out of his eight kids at a time and has no choice in the matter of which ones he gets to see. According to the Inquisitr:
Gosselin claims he hasn’t seen all eight of his kids together in three years, and he hasn’t seen 12-year-old son Collin at all in nearly two years. According to Gosselin, he has no control over who he sees.
As of two months ago, Jon did not have the funds to take Kate to court and even set up a GoFundMe page for people to contribute donations to his cause.TheRealJonGosselin/Facebook/KatePlusEight/Facebook
However, after working as an I.T. administrator and part-time DJ, Jon is reportedly financially stable enough to fight his ex-wife in court.
He is hopeful his stable employment will give him an edge in his battle for custody and thereby allow him to give Collin a better life — something Kate claims to be doing by keeping Collin at the institution.
