Joanna Gaines’ youngest child is now nearly one year old — and he already knows how to grab the spotlight.
The baby boy, who will celebrate his first birthday on June 23, tagged along with mom for a cookbook photo shoot this week and quickly stole the show.
Gaines shared outtakes from the photo shoot to her Instagram that showed her looking exhausted as the tot squirmed around in her arms.
Gaines captioned the post:
After months of developing and finalizing recipes, we are excited to start shooting Volume Two of our cookbook! Gonna have to talk with this little one’s agent about his on-set behavior….
Many parents sympathized with Gaines in the comments and said they appreciated that she showed the “imperfect” side of being a mom.

Gaines, who welcomed baby Crew at age 40, previously said that she sometimes feels “mom guilt” when she’s busy working.
The design guru said she combats the feeling by “finding little ways to connect.” She explained to Southern Living:
“You just think kids will fit into your life, and then I had these babies and didn’t realize how they would have every string of my heart. Everything I do, from the moment I get into my car to drive to work, I’m thinking, ‘Did I do everything I could to make those kids know that I love them?’”
Gaines will return to television alongside her husband, Chip, on a new network in partnership with Discovery. However, they have not released many details about their latest venture.
The pair previously starred on the hit television series, “Fixer Upper.”
