Chip Gaines May Have Revealed New Son’s Name Two Months Before He Was Born and No One Even Realized It

On June 23, Chip and Joanna Gaines welcomed their fifth child, a son. Chip announced the birth of their youngest bundle of joy on Twitter that morning.

He wrote:

And then there were 5.. The Gaines crew is now 1 stronger! 10 beautiful toes and 10 beautiful fingers all accounted for, and big momma is doing great! #blessedBeyondBelief

Joanna followed up by sharing a photo of their new son.

In April, the couple hinted on Today that Joanna had a name in mind that started with a “C.” However, Chip wanted to stick with tradition by coming up with a name that started with a “D” like their other two sons, Drake and Duke.

And although the boys now outnumber the girls in the Gaines family, it was Joanna who won the name battle— they named their baby boy, Crew Gaines.

Joanna wrote:

Our baby boy, Crew Gaines, is here and we couldn’t be more in love. He made an unexpected (and speedy) entrance into the world two and a half weeks early – which is fitting given he was a sweet surprise from day one. Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers. We are so grateful.

Chip and Joanna’s four oldest children, 13-year-old Drake Gaines, 11-year-old Ella Rose Gaines, nine-year-old Duke Gaines, and eight-year-old Emmie Kay Gaines, were excited to meet their youngest sibling:

Joanna wrote:

One of my favorite pics a friend showed me after Crew was born. They couldn’t wait to meet their new baby brother.

And Chip may have fooled everyone with the help of his four oldest children and revealed the name of their son two months before he was even born.

Back in April, Chip posted a photo of his kids on Instagram. In the caption the father of five wrote, “I love my crew.”

Do you think it was a hint?
