Duggar fans have been long anticipating the arrival of Jill and Derrick Dillard’s second child — and the wait is finally over!

According to People, the Dillards welcomed their second son, Samuel Scott Dillard, on Saturday afternoon. But much like her first delivery, the mother of two was in labor for days before welcoming the healthy baby.

In 2015, Jill was in labor for 70 hours before it was discovered that her first son, Israel David Dillard, was in breech position and needed to be delivered via C-section.

She had been hoping for a home birth, but the “19 Kids and Counting” star was just thrilled her bouncing baby boy was healthy.

Now it seems that her second birth brought about similar complications.

According to a statement from the Dillards, Jill was in labor for 40 hours. Though it’s unclear if Samuel Scott was also in the breech position, he was delivered by C-section.

Fortunately, the Dillards announced that the newest addition to their loving family is healthy. The family wrote on their website:

“We are excited to finally announce the arrival of Samuel Scott Dillard. The newest addition to our family arrived on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 1:02pm.

He weighs 9lb 10oz and is 22” long. After 40 hours of labor, he was delivered via C-section at the hospital. Thank you for your continued prayers and support!”

The Dillards surprised fans last month by announcing Samuel Scott’s name ahead of the birth.

It was an unusual move for the TLC star, considering all of the Duggar children have waited until after the birth to share baby name news, according to earlier reports.

However, the name seemed to be a hit with fans, who couldn’t wait to welcome 2-year-old Israel David’s new little playmate to the world.

No word yet when the family plans to share photos of the bouncing baby boy. For now, it seems that the happy couple is just enjoying the first moments with the new baby in private.

Congratulations to the Dillards!
