Singer Jessie J told her boyfriend Channing Tatum and fans it was heartbreaking to learn she can’t have kids.

Tatum made an appearance at the 30-year-old’s concert in London on Monday, reports Us Weekly.

The actor posted to Instagram that Jessie poured out her heart at the Royal Albert Hall when she opened up about her fertility struggles to concertgoers.

While singing “Four Letter Word” from her fifth album R.O.S.E. the British songstress revealed that doctors told her at 26 she would not be able to have children.

The London native explained:

“I wanted to write this song for myself in my moment of pain and sadness but also to give myself joy, to give other people something that they can listen to in the moment when it gets really hard.

So if you’ve ever experienced anything with this or have seen somebody else go through it or have lost a child, then please know you’re not alone in your pain and I’m thinking of you when I sing this song.”

But some people didn’t take the surprise reveal very well. Critics accused the singer of oversharing at her concert. In response to the news some fans wrote on Facebook:

So what, why is this any of our business?

I guess this is her “becoming” moment!! As if everyday average women [don’t] go through it too…soooo where’s our headline, where’s our book deal!!?

Others, however, came to Jessie’s defense and encouraged the singer to continue to share her story. Some wrote:

People can announce pregnancy at a concert and everybody awws but somebody talks about Infertility all of a sudden it’s too much personal Info. Ok .

Comments like these are why women feel scared and ashamed to share this information. You’d be shocked how many women are going through the same thing. Man, y’all are the worst.

Bless her for coming out with a difficult subject in light of her song. I can relate to her infertility struggles as I suffer from the same. She felt comfortable to share this with her fans, and she’s not alone as there are many women who understand.

Back in October Tatum, 38, and his former wife, Jenna Dewan, 37, announced their split. A source confirmed to Us that Tatum and Jessie have been dating for a couple months.
